Our Engagement
The Proposal Story:
The Brief Version: Jourdan “popped the question" on October 1, 2011 in Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.
The Extended Version: On Saturday, October 1, 2011 the couple visited the Georgia Aquarium to celebrate Jourdan's 24th birthday. They woke up extra early to grab a quick breakfast (Chick-fil-A) and to beat the aquarium crowds. After a few hours of enjoying the fishies and penguins they hopped across the street to try to find Jourdan's official Olympic brick...without much luck. Although it was a windy day, it was a beautiful Fall afternoon so Rachel suggested they stop and eat in the park. After snacking on a burger and hot dog at Googie Burger (and watching their napkins fly in the wind) they walked over to the park's Fountain of Rings. There, Jourdan got down on his knee and asked Rachel if she would marry him. She of course said “YES"!
