Things are really getting serious now! This month Rachel began the search for her wedding dress, and we are thrilled to say she found “the one"! While it was not the easiest task it does have a lovely story. Rachel and her mom went to their first dress shopping appointments the first weekend of July, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. We know, four bridal boutiques in one weekend is quite a lot, but it helped Rachel narrow down the overwhelming variety of styles and fabric choices.
The dress was found at the second bridal shop, but Rachel didn't feel the fireworks right away because there were so many changes needed: the style of the top, the waist detail, and the hem finish. After visiting the other stores and trying on over 20 other gowns she still had the dress in mind, so she returned last week to try it on again...
As exciting as wedding dress shopping can be, boy is it stressful! After deciding that this w
as the dress, we had to contact th e designer to make sure all of the changes could be made (and under budget). So finally after days of anxiously waiting, today we received the “okay" and Rachel will be going in for final measurements Sunday! Yippie! A few fun facts:
After over a year of being engaged and dreaming of what the dress would look like Rachel is thrilled to have found the perfect one. Poor Jourdan though will have to wait until Rachel walks down the aisle to see it for the first time!
Less than 400 days to go!
